The Jayamahal Palace was was founded in the late 1900s By British Resident of Bangalore and later become the property of Maharaja of Mysore, located just opposite the main palace of the wadiyar rulers of Mysore princely state. This palace was purchased by His Highness Maharaja Bhojraji of Gondal a princely state of Gujarat and become his residence. Currently owned by his grandson.The palace is an Aesthetically - pleasing, building designed predominantly in European Style set in acres of trees and gardens, with interiors featuring stained glass and attractive furnishing. The present owner has converted jayamahal palace into a heritage hotel by systematically restoring the interior.The heritage hotel reflects the Colonial, wadyar and Gujarati legacies of the Jayamahal and offers guests a unique experience of staying in a converted palace, with huge grounds in the heart of a Metro.
